The "Yunost" magazine and the All-Russial literary prize "Far East". An essay on the history of Russial culture.

The "Yunost" magazine and the All-Russial literary prize "Far East". An essay on the history of Russial culture.

We have written about contemporary sub-criminal Russial culture many times. Who are its leaders? This is probably clear to everyone - to all those who are interested in the state of modern culture.

But, as they say, a lot is in the details.

And what about the thick magazines?

  We mentioned them too.

Recently we wrote about Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Yes, an interesting topic ... As Alexander Tvardovsky said, "We gave birth to him ..." (Турков А.М. "Александр Твардовский". 2010. Turkov A.M. "Alexander Tvardovsky". 2010.).

But they did. And, after all, Solzhenitsyn pulled into the world history and Tvardovsky, and the thick "Novy Mir" ["New World", "Новый Мир"] magazine , and Natalia Reshetovskaya ...

Another thing is that Solzhenitsyn did not ask them in advance, and did not get their consent in advance, before his daring actions ...

Be that as it may, thick magazines acted as a great force in Russia.

Recently, we have not heard of thick magazines, and they are not visible. In any case, I am expressing my personal opinion.

But when they were heard and seen, I was reading both "Novy Mir", "Yunost" ["Youth", "Юность"], and other magazines.

So, we go to Wikipedia, open an article (rus) about the Yunost magazine, then follow the Internet link to the Yunost magazine website.

I am wondering how the youth Belarusian Resistance is reflected in the magazine of the Russian intelligentsia? (We, besides, once had the idea of popularizing memoirs and other works of generals who fought for Russia or on orders from the Russial highest chiefs in the period from 1991 to the present - but this is hardly the profile of the Yunost magazine).

Belarusian Resistance. These are hundreds of thousands of people inextricably linked with Russian culture, loving Russia, waiting for support from the Russian people and from the Russian intelligentsia (the words of Ilyich are coming to memory, in involuntary way ...), these are numerous Russial and foreign journalists, repressed, risking ... These are feats, these are courage, it's a fortitude! ...

A relatively unclear site, a laconic information.

From what I saw, I assumed that the topic of the Belarusian Resistance was not reflected in the "Yunost" magazine.

However, my attention is attracted by the information about the prize (premium) "Far East" in honour of Vladimir Arsenyev.

Since I have been following the events in the Far East for a relatively long time, I became interested.

Surely, Far Eastern authors will write something on such world-wide, epoch-making topics as:

  1. The Bureya problem of 2018-2019 and its heroic solution. (Perhaps, it was in mid-December 2018, a spontaneous dam appeared on the powerful Siberian Far Eastern Bureya River).

  2. The release of Killer whales and Beluga whales from the Far East whale prison.

  3. A heroic resilience of the Khabarovsk city citizens.

Some information about the award is available on the website of the Yunost magazine. In any case, it is clear that the prize is inextricably linked with the magazine.

But, nevertheless, I had to use not the site of the "Youth" magazine (somehow everything is not very convenient, not very informative, and, in my opinion, too laconic).

(We pause for a second, we stop and summarize: the magazine's website disappointed us, we couldn't read anything interesting (for us personally), except for information about the award ...).

We use Google search, look for information about the award, we go to the official website of the Government of the Primorsky krai and the executive authorities of the Primorsky krai.

'Primorsk residents reached the final of the Arsenyev Far East literary prize. December 3, 2020 15:30 "

Judging by the titles of the works included in the short list, there is nothing here about the Bureya problem, or about the release of whales and killer whales from the Far Eastern whale prison, or about the heroic, almost biblical, resistance of the Khabarovsk city residents.

But there is "A Fairy Chukotka" - from Alexander Agafonov.

Yes Yes! Construction of a sea port at Cape Nagleynyn, Chukotka! ... Maybe, maybe ...

We finish our brief acquaintance with the modern thick "Yunost" magazine in a good mood..

Surely the members of the jury of the award - due to their duties - will have to visit the Far East, get acquainted with its literary potential.

After some time (may be, even after forty years), we will, perhaps, read literary diaries about trips to the Far East. We assume, we are even sure that both the Yunost magazine and the Arsenyev Far East literary prize have good state budget funding. After all, these people are not strangers either to Russial literature or to the State Duma.

P.S. If the literary prize were called "The Far East: travel, folklore, descriptions, scientific research ...", or in a similar way, it would make sense to name it after Vladimir Arseniev. The award was named "Far East", respectively, it should have been named after Nikolay Nikolayevich Muravyov-Amursky! (With all my great respect for the personality, creativity, a huge and brilliant activity, subject matter of works and the heroic fate of Vladimir Arseniev). Why not two, not three, not ten prizes? What are the savings?
