To prevent an environmental disaster, the Governor of the region decided to move the graves [transfer of burials]. Now the authorities of the region are discussing options for a new place. At the same time, it is necessary to complete the transfer process by the end of summer - before the passage of the crest of the flood.
It was also decided to resettle the residents of Chekunda in Chegdomyn and located near the district center of the village of TsES. Now in the settlement 44 apartments are empty which after capital repairs chekundinets [residents of Chekunda] could occupy. A part of families, by calculations of the regional authorities, will receive certificates on acquisition of housing in the secondary market.
- Other options here can't be. Scientists already tell us today that Chekunda will sink. And after 4 years Chekunda can go under water completely. Any flood is a threat to people's lives. Therefore, an unambiguous decision was made-to relocate. The approximate budget is 332 million rubles, - said the Governor of the Khabarovsk territory Sergey Furgal.

The comment.
If some negative events are seen as inevitable, then, of course, it is better to prepare for them in advance.
Is the flooding of Chekunda inevitable? And if it seems inevitable, is such flooding the basis for the resettlement of people? What will happen to them - with the resettled people?
Probably, "on the spot" it"s more clear...
Some people, far from the scene, may have fantastic assumptions: the village (settlement) of a new type is designed, a houses, resistant to floods...
River Bureya "attacks", but Chekunda - lives...
It's probably a fantasy...
