Jean-Michel Cousteau addressed the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and other officials with words of gratitude for the fact that the animals from the "whale prison" in Primorye finally began to be released.

The first batch of animals - two killer whales and six Beluga whales - was released from the Bay on June 27. Experts brought the animals to Cape of name of Perovsky in the Khabarovsk krai, where they were released into the open sea.
