The Far East does not need a Chinese investments. Essay.

The Far East does not need a Chinese investments. Essay.

One of the favorite topics of some commentators is Chinese investments for the Russian Far East and their usefulness.

The usefulness of Chinese investments for the Russian Far East is a 'truth' of the same series as, for example, investments in the sphere of construction, which result in (1) the enrichment of the stratum of people involved in construction sphere, (2) the ruining of the middle class and the intelligentsia (the sphere of construction financed - de facto - by increasing collections and taxes from the population), (3) the creating overloads for river systems (ecosystems), (4) the creating the overpopulated mega-cities.

We can to consider, for example, the case of a father of two children, a resident of the Khabarovsk krai, who left his two sons at a Moscow airport (about half a year, or a year ago).

He is a respectable man who strived to single-handedly raise his two sons in a provincial settlement of the Khabarovsk krai.

At first he worked in a security sphere. But his wages were so low and his work schedule was so inconvenient that he had to leave his children in social institutions for long periods.

So, he allegedly took up the fish trade. According to the standard scenario, he ended up not in profit, but in debt. He was threatened with the prospect of lifelong slave labor under the shadow masters.

A vague financial story with a female neighbor, who felt a sympathy to his problems with two little children.

Let's turn our attention to 'household' and tax issues. In all this individual history, the role of increasing fees and taxes is not indicated at all. What does this mean? Does this speak of the virtuoso work of effective managers? About the inattention of the objects at which this activity is directed in order to pump out both money and the accumulated family reserves from them? About the superficial look of journalists describing this life story? Household meters (counters) with their endless chain of questions - acquisition, installation, verification, replacement, etc. etc. - have grown into some kind of colossal industry, about which some interested persons and media chatter day and night. As if this is the launch of the first space satellite in the history of the Earth ... In fact, the Far Eastern provincial did not have much time to deal with his personal life, work and business - he needs to take readings, fill out receipts, provide timely sending of readings, check the correctness of tariffs, and receive information about news public utilities on the Internet, etc.....

We return to a resident of the Khabarovsk krai, who was raising two children alone.

The unlucky security guard and unlucky businessman went from the Khabarovsk krai to Moscow and made a latent protest - he left his two sons at the Moscow airport. What he protested against - he did not clearly formulate this (did not able to understand? did not know how to say? was he careful?). However, as follows from the Khabarovsk news, the residents of Khabarovsk themselves clearly cannot formulate the reasons for their today protests ...

Moscow airport. ... the sons of a resident of the Khabarovsk krai ... little good boys... The audience parted with their father at the stage of punishing the father of two children - he was separated from the children, they were given to relatives (?), their father was going to some very unpleasant events (very unpleasant for him - for an initially respectable person).

Now we ask the question: why does this person need Chinese investments? It is clear that the Chinese economy is experiencing tremendous demand for timber and other natural raw materials.

So why would this person need Chinese investments?

In order - with a favorable option - to become a resident of the Far East, deprived of forests and many other natural resources? To become a resident of the Far East, who received a salary that is not much different from that of a security guard?

To - in an unfavorable scenario - become an object of "re-education"?

We return to his personal life story.

There is fish and other natural resources in the Khabarovsk krai without any investment. On Fisherman's Day [professional holiday], which was celebrated a few days ago, interviews from the Khabarovsk krai were broadcast. In these interviews it was reported that (1) in the Khabarovsk krai there are huge volumes of fish (as a natural resource), (2) for some reason, consumers of the Khabarovsk krai do not have an abundance of fish.

Thus, no investments - neither Chinese investments nor any other - are needed.

Under a normal conditions, a respectable citizen begins to engage in the fish trade. Something turns out. Something does not work. Perhaps he is switching to some other direction.

But he is not trapped in loans and life-long forced labor for shady activists. He is not hounded like a surrounded animal. A state organizations give him a shoulder and provide assistance, if necessary.

There is fish (as a resource), there is a need for fish (among the residents of the Khabarovsk krai).

In the end, a respectable resident of the Far Eastern province becomes a successful businessman, arranging his personal life, sending his sons to prestigious universities, which makes them able to do profitable business not only with China, but with the whole the world.

(It is curious that books about the Japanese intervention in the Far East during the Civil War (Civil War: approximately 1917 - 1923) open up an unexpected world - they show the prosperous, satisfied population of the Russian Far East, actively fighting against the Japanese troops).

So, a resident of the Far Eastern province does not need any investments (neither Chinese, nor any other). Stop hounding him like a surrounded animal, give him the opportunity to live in harmony with nature and with the world, with the social environment. If anyone is capable, then help him. He lives in rich, sparsely populated areas. He will earn money on his own, himself, without any "investment". He will invest part of the money, he earned, into the spheres he needs.

This is the lesson of the lonely latent protest of a resident of the Khabarovsk krai, a protest that became the forerunner of other more massive and difficult for understanding todays protests in the city of Khabarovsk.
