The excellent prospects from Mr. Lavrov. A political note.

Recently, a quote from Mr. Lavrov's speech was broadcast on the radio.

I was pleased to learn that Russia has excellent foreign policy prospects.

For example, Russia will strengthen relations with many countries.

Algeria was named among other reliable partners.

I memorized Algeria (from the countries listed by Mr. Lavrov) because after the First World War and the Revolution of 1917, many Russian people settled in France. And Algiers at that time was a French territory.

There was a time when pirates dominated the Mediterranean, when some people did not fight against the very sins (of the 20th century) that now so outrage some Russial politicians, including Mr. Lavrov, but gained pan-European fame as dangerous robbers, as captors of people (kidnappers) and as energetic slave traders.

  But back to our time.

How can Algeria be economically interesting for Russia, and Russia for Algeria?

I heard that modern Algeria successfully sells gas ...

Russia also successfully trades in gas...

Maybe if sanctions are not imposed to Algeria, then there is a certain potential in this - the potential that is not obvious to every person?

Perhaps there is hope of selling highly effective Russial weapons to Algeria?

I am not an expert on the arms trade, but my intuition is that Algeria prefers to acquire French (Western) weapons.

Nevertheless, if you will offer Algeria free or almost free Russial weapons, then it is unlikely that Algeria will refuse - this is a profitable deal for many participants (in our turbulent times).

  What else?

Some Algerian citizens seek to move to more developed countries.

Maybe Russia can or is going to offer its services in this direction?

Of course, (if to listen to propagandists) the countries of the West - they "pander" the most dangerous sins of the 20th century, and colonialism must be mentioned as a historical background.

However, despite all the humanity of the expansion of the Russian World, and despite all the inhumanity of Western colonialism, for some reason I believe that the inhabitants of Algeria will prefer France to Russia - when moving from Algeria.

In general, there is potential, but the intensive work is needed. It is necessary to involve all the speakers of Russial diplomacy.

Since it is now very important to remember the Russian World, we need to read Alexander Pushkin.

He in the Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish told about the wife of the fisherman. Fisherman succeded to caught the Golden Fish.

The fisherman's wife was not a petty assistent of seller from a remote provincial trading shop. But she imagined herself to be a special person of world importance and, taking advantage of the suddenly obtained opportunities, swelled with importance, made loud statements.

In the end, they were left with the broken trough - with nothing.

Armed with Pushkin's Fairy Tales, with the knowledge about the fisherman's stupid wife and about broken trough, let's start to move forward to wonderful foreign policy prospects...
