On November 29, 2021, five paintings by Nicholas Roerich were sold at Christie's in London.
"A selection of five paintings from the Asian expedition of Nicholas Roerich (1874-1947) was also realized above the estimated [initial] cost (a war of rates unfolded for acquiring these paintings ). The painting "Tibetan Lama" was sold for 231,2 thousand pounds (GBP) ($ 310 thousand), which turned out to be several times higher than the initial estimate of 50-70 thousand pounds ($ 67-94 thousand).
