Igor Grechushkin. A high-class manager from Khabarovsk who moved to Cyprus. The experimental essay - an attempt of a partial biographical reconstruction.

2020 is the year of high-class managers and all sorts of prankers, large-scale forest fires, technological and technical disasters.

In this regard, the figure of Igor Grechushkin, a native of Khabarovsk, a high-class manager who moved from Khabarovsk to Cyprus, is interesting.

  1. Khabarovsk is a world center for training highly qualified managers.

'Igor Grechushkin was born in 1977 in the Far East, in the working village of Vanino. This working village is serving the port of the same name.

From the now deleted Grechushkin's LinkedIn page, it followed that he studied at the Far Eastern Academy of Civil Service (now the Far Eastern Institute of Management) in Khabarovsk. In the second half of the 1990s, he got a job at the local representative office of the Cypriot company Dartmont Shipping Limited. This company belonged to Viktor Danilov, businessman from Vanino.

  [... an interesting information...] '(https://www.bbc.com/russian/news-53662248).

A huge amount of biographical information is beyond the attention of readers.

One thing is clear - in Khabarovsk, Igor Grechushkin acquired the qualifications of a high-class manager and took his first steps in the field of management.

  2. Cyprus, a sunny island.

When and under what circumstances did Igor Grechushkin move to Cyprus? We do not have a clear answer to this question. By indirect evidence, we can assume approximately (2012?) 2013. But this is just a guess.

  3. Moldova and Romania - "This information is not in the registers." The owner of a company without his own fleet and director of two now liquidated Cypriot companies.

'The Rhosus CL, or simply Rhosus, was built in 1986. This ship has been floating under this name since 2012 under the Moldovan flag. For the past six years, Rhosus has been laid up in the port of Beirut.

INTERFLEET SHIPMANAGEMENT has been the owner and manager of the vessel since 2008. A company with this name is registered in Cyprus and has not been reporting since 2010, like its parent company RIZOCOMA HOLDINGS LIMITED. However, the captain who served on the ship during the arrest claims that around 2012 the Cypriot company handed him over to Grechushkin. This information is not in the registers.

Igor Grechushkin (from Russia) is called the actual owner of the vessel. RBC was unable to find a person with the same name and business in Russia or Ukraine. However, in Romania, a certain Igor Grechushkin is the owner of Unimar Shipmanagement SRL, according to the Equasis database, now this company does not have its own fleet. Grechushkin was also the director of two liquidated now Cypriot companies - LYNCOTT ENTERPRISES LIMITED (excluded from the register in 2016) and HOGLA TRADING LIMITED (excluded in 2018).   '' He didn't say anything to me ("he" - that is, the captain who made the previous voyage - TASS note). <...> I asked him how things were, how was work, he noted: everything is fine, everything is fine. And when he had already left, I began to look at computer correspondence of what was happening there. And suddenly I find out that they had a strike (in Spain - TASS note), that to them did not pay money, wages for four months, that they complained to the ITF (International Federation of Transport Workers - note TASS) on this matter, "- said Prokoshev." (https://tass.ru/proisshestviya/9136429)

  4. Batumi - ambiguity with saltpeter.

'The former owner of Rustavi Azot, Roman Pipia, told RBC that he had no idea where the information could be stored [may by archived] - the information about whether the company was involved in the explosion in Beirut . The Georgian businessman explained that in 2016 he lost control of the plant ... '(https://www.rbc.ru/society/06/08/2020/5f2be4f29a7947c7c2e96f50').

  5. Tuzla. The one owner, the one vessel, and three captains.

'- I worked on the ship from 2012 to 2013. This was my first contract, - quotes the words of the RT sailor. - Arrests took place. But all this was hindered by bribing in favour of the local authorities, and the ship continued to work. We took this saltpeter in Batumi, they [the new team] replaced us in the Bosphorus, and, in my opinion, the ship went to Seville (Spain). There they were arrested, and then they went back to Beirut.

The man does not know what kind of cargo his colleagues brought to Beirut, but he heard that he was classified as dangerous, because there was a minimum of crew on the ship. " (https://www.kp.ru/online/news/3968148/?utm_source=yxnews&utm_medium=desktop&utm_referrer=https.ru%)

'Earlier it became known that Rhosus was detained in the port of Seville in July 2013 and released some time later. Later, the ship carried out a voyage with ammonium nitrate from Batumi (Georgia) to Beira (Mozambique), Prokoshev changed the captain and took over a bulk carrier [ship] in the Turkish port of Tuzla. Then the vessel headed to Beirut to pick up the accompanying cargo, but was detained in the port of the capital of Lebanon due to dues debts in relation of port. " (https://tass.ru/proisshestviya/9136429)

'Prokoshev also noted that at the moment when he received the ship, there were two captains on it, which seemed strange to him. According to the interlocutor of the agency, this is a fairly common practice when the ship is operated by the wrong person who is listed in the documents as the captain. At the same time, the captain, who holds this position according to the documents, is also present on the ship and bears legal responsibility. "I asked the second captain, and he said: I don't know anything at all, I gave the documents to this captain, and he walks according to my documents. They only show of my personality [to other people] that I am the captain," he told TASS. " [https://tass.ru/proisshestviya/9136429]

'Being in Cyprus at that time and talking to the captain by phone, Grechushkin told him that he did not have enough money to pay the pass the vessel through the Suez Canal. Therefore, he sent the ship to Beirut to earn money, agreeing to transport additional cargo of heavy equipment. " [https://inosmi.ru/politic/20200806/247877376.html]

  6. Piraeus (Greece) - a ship without food and without a working diesel generator, but with a hole in the hull.

'From Turkey we went to Greece, to Piraeus. We got on the road, refueled, ordered what we need for the floating. Grechushkin signed everything. And when it came to receiving an order - food, all sorts of consumables - he himself came and returned almost everything back to the suppliers, he did not pay. He said there was no money. "(Https://www.sibreal.org/a/30767538.html)

'They were forced to supply an emergency diesel generator, because only one of the power plants was operating, which did not meet the register requirements - and then they went from Spain to Beirut ... What kind of cargo they transported to Beirut - I have no idea. But I heard that the cargo was dangerous, so the minimum crew had to remain on board. " (https://www.vesti.ru/article/2437171)

'And the steamer eventually sank, two or three years ago. The ship had a small hole, it was necessary to periodically pump out water. "(Https://www.sibreal.org/a/30767538.html)

  7. Mozambique - we don't need the saltpeter.

'- And here are the customers from Mozambique. What's most interesting is that at first I didn't even worry. I think the customers still need the cargo, they will demand it. They will help to free the cargo, because they only gave a million for transportation. But buyers showed no movement, at all! " (https://www.sibreal.org/a/30767538.html)

  8. Super-manager (from Khabarovsk) in the entrepreneurial kosmos.

'The authorities of this country do not extradite suspects directly to Interpol, but first to the Cypriot court,' says Pavel Feldman, Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies and Forecasts of the RUDN. - "The judicial system is designed in such a way that it is almost impossible to create and present to the court a clear evidence base of guilt of the offender, - in the presence of a lawyer, who has even a little talent. So Grechushkin probably fled to Cyprus, knowing full well that he has dark spots in his biography. " (https://www.vesti.ru/article/2437171)

"Entrepreneur from Russia Igor Grechushkin admitted that earlier the ship Rhosus with a cargo of ammonium nitrate belonged to him, but after being detained in the port of Beirut, the dry cargo ship passed to another owner. (...) He admitted that he did not know who became the owner of the ship after him." (https://yandex.ru/turbo/s/argumenti.ru/incident/2020/08/680520)

It is interesting to compare the fate of the happy Grechushkin with the fate of people of knowledge - Sokolov and Yeshchenko, or with the fate of the not very successful manager-governor Furgal, with the misadventures of the qualified sea captain Prokoshev ...
