DW, the flood in Germany and the money of German taxpayers. The note.
Already for several days, news of a flood in Germany arrive. There are human casualties and huge financial losses.
Probably, the question of those factors that led to such events will be raised for discussion.
We will also speak out the our opinion on this topic.
In Russia, catastrophic floods took place before the events in Germany.
Analyzing the situation after the floods in Russia, we expressed the opinion: (1) about the need to change urban planning norms and (2) about the lack of qualified specialists for such a large-scale activity. (See, for example, [MCCСCLXIII.] A flooding, a natural water attacks and a standards. A patriotic note.).
I believe that the German taxpayers financing DW had the right to receive information not only about the fact of catastrophic floods in Russia, but also about the opinions expressed as a result of the analysis of these events.
In particular, they had the right to receive information about the need to change town planning norms, principles and foundations of town planning policy.
If the vast majority of books published in Russia have a circulation of about two thousand copies, then our literary activity cannot be called imperceptible (unnoticeable, undetectable).
Would it be useful for German taxpayers the informing of them about catastrophic floods in Russia, about the reflections associated with these floods, about the need to change town planning norms and town planning policies?
Even simple informing would be helpful.
But there was another option. The journalist could not only report on the results of the analysis of the situation, but also show a special competence - an advanced qualification.
He could not only report on the analytical conclusions, but also express an opinion on the advisability of discussing this issue (the necessity of changes in urban planning norms and urban planning policies) in the Bundestag and in the German government.
This does not mean that such a journalist would necessarily be listened to, that such thought, such proposal would be taken into account and would be used.
But this would indicate that such a journalist fulfilled his moral duty and official obligations to taxpayers and would demonstrate his competence and foresight.
Now we have to learn about the victims and the huge losses. Perhaps someone is thinking about the reasons for this situation.
