Seryozha received an official invitation to appear on the radio program 'Our Contemporary'.
At the appointed time, Seryozha arrived at the radio station building. He was met by the production editor of the program.
Walking through the corridors of the radio station with Seryozha, the production editor pointed to one of the doors:
- There is an item stored here that is of great value to the staff of our radio station.
The editor and Seryozha entered this room.
The editor removed an antique clock from the wall and explained:
- This is the clock from the hut of the hermitess Agafya! The thing is valuable. A relic of sorts. They stopped to function about a year ago. We invite all participants in the 'Our Contemporary' program to this room and ask them to repair this clock.

After a short time, all the gears were put into place. A key was taken from a special safe. The clock was wound up.
The clock started ticking.
- Well, everything is in order, the clock is ticking, - Seryozha calmly announced.
The production editor looked in amazement at the ticking clock and at Seryozha.
After that, Seryozha and the editor went to the radio studio, and the watchmaker ('Seryozha's helper') went to drink coffee.
During a conversation in the radio studio, Seryozha was jokingly declared the 'Lord of Time.' He managed to repair an ancient clock - the clock of the hermitess Agafya - a relic of the radio station.
Coming out of the radio station building, the watchmaker quietly said to Seryozha:
- They went, but they went in the opposite direction.
- I did it to demonstrate my sense of humor. The gears can be placed one manner or the another way.
The watchmaker looked at Seryozha in amazement.
Seryozha took out a wad of money and handed it to the watchmaker:
- It's your fee.
