Who hasn"t ever let you down,
Who has been always close to you,
Whose shining coat is soft and brown
And voice sounds like "bow-wow" or "mew"?

I have got used to being met
By two small noses that are wet,
By two my pets: a dog and cat,
Every day in the doors of flat.

I like to wash them, comb, train,
Take for a walk and play with,
It is time consuming - I`ll be plain
But no bother to cope with.

Who ever can be such pretenders
To beg a piece of fish or meat,
So generous to forgive offenders,
Quick-minded and naive a bit?

We owe them for all their kindness,
For the tremendous, disinterested love - 
They give us no objective words or signs,
Arouse feelings that all people starve.
