Вас приветствует Оксана. Я хотела бы рассказать Вам немного обо мне и моей жизни. Родилась я в Англии 52 года назад. Мои родители иммигрировали из Западной Украины во время Второй Мировой Войны. Я воспитывалась в двуязычной среде. Я получила образование на украинском и на английском языках. Украинский и английский языки, культуры и религии двух народов были привычными для меня с детства, (но с европейским взглядом на жизнь).
С этими знаниями я приобрела более 30 лет опыта в переводе между английским и украинским языками в украинского-английской общине в Англии. Мой опыт работы был связан с Руководством и Администрацией в гостиничном бизнесе. Также я работала более 8-ми лет советником в социальной сфере для правительства Великобритании.
Я имела возможность лично посетить несколько раз бывший СССР (Россию и Украину), и имею глубокое уважение к обеим этим культурам. Я приобрела мой личный опыт и знания о культурных и языковых особенностях людей из СССР. Это всегда было моей мечтой, применить и развить знания этих двух языков.
Приблизительно 3 года назад я иммигрировала в Канаду. Здесь я рабола дистрибьютором в Издательском доме иллюстрированных изданий.
Еще я открыла в себе скрытый неожиданый талант. Для меня это была и есть поэзия.

Greetings, my name is Oksana, I would like to furnish you with some details regarding my life. How I have ended up writing this scenario is a wonder in itself!
I was born in England 52 years ago to Ukrainian Parents, who emigrated from Western Ukraine. In this bilingual home, I was brought up with Ukrainian and English culture, religion, language and an European outlook on life. I graduated in Ukrainian and English, and with that knowledge and expertise, I translated on a personal level for over 30 years within the Ukrainian and English community in England. My work history has been in Management in the Hotel Industry and then for 8 years within the counselling/social area for the Government.
I have had the opportunity to visit on several occasions the former USSR (Russia and Ukraine), and have a deep respect for both cultures. It has always been my ambition to utilize my skills and develop my bilingual assets.
3 years ago I emigrated to Canada. During that period I discovered my hidden talent of writing poetry. The majority of the poems refer to personal experiences in my life, and then others, as experienced through my friends. I felt that I had to share their emotional heartaches with mine and perhaps in turn ease someone else's aching heart and mind. It is a true saying that when you write down your feelings it really does make you see more clearly the situation, and you feel more able to cope with life.
Back to life on Canadian soil. I worked 2 years for a Publisher/Photographer in Sales and Marketing, and then I had the sincere fortune of meeting Tamara, a Lady who emigrated here to Canada 4 years ago. Together we found that we have many similarities in our lives, be it that we were born thousands of miles apart, but we have the mutual understanding of the need to harness our talents and experiences of life. I believe you will enjoy reading my poems, I find some of them especially humbling. I feel that we all ought to say what we feel and think about our Loved ones, be it a Girlfriend, Boyfriend, Lover or someone that we wished were our Lover!
